Congress Kit and Name Badge
Upon registration you will receive a Congress kit that includes the printed material of the Congress and your name badge. Please wear your name badge at all times during the Congress and to all official Congress events.
Climate
November in Berlin is generally cloudy and cold with frequent periods of rain and the possibility of snow. Temperatures range between 3°C (37ºF) to -1ºC (30ºF). Warm attire is essential.
Transportation from Airport to Congress Venue
Berlin has two international airports; Tegel (TXL) and Schönefeld (SXL). Both airports are well connected to the city centre.

By public transportation
Take Bus 128 in the direction of Osloer Strasse to Kurt-Schumacher Platz and switch to metro U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf to Stadtmitte, approx. 30 minutes, costs EUR 2.70 per person
or
Take Bus X9 in the direction of Zoologischer Garten to Ernst-Reuter-Platz and then switch to metro number U2 in the direction of Pankow to Stadtmitte, approx. 30 minutes, costs EUR 2.70 per person
By taxi
Taxis are available 24 hours a day. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes, costs EUR 25.00 per way

By public transportation:
Take Train RB14 or RB7 in the direction of Nauen or S9 to S+U Friedrichstrasse and switch to metro U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf to Stadtmitte, approx. 45 minutes, costs EUR 2.60 per person
By taxi:
From Berlin Brandenburg Airport, taxis are available to take you directly to the Hilton Berlin hotel. The journey normally takes around 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel, costs are EUR 35-40 per way
Visas
Participants from certain countries may require a visa in order to travel to Germany. Participants are requested to check with their local German Consulate/Embassy well in advance of their travel date. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa as necessary.
